Overland Blue Transport Group
Specialty transportation & logistics
Overland Blue Transport Group is an acquisitive, growing community of specialty transportation carriers, collectively striving to be the leading carriers in the markets they serve – since 2013.
Overland Group is seeking to acquire specialty transportation companies, with an initial focus on ocean container and other intermodal carriers, across Canada, with EBITDA of $3M to 15M.
In 2013, the Overland Group acquired Overland Container Transportation Services (“OCTS”), the largest intermodal and specialty transportation & logistics provider in Alberta. OCTS works with ocean shipping lines, freight forwarders, and direct operating company producers to ensure first and final mile solutions in drayage, storage, transloading, rail siding, warehousing and other specialty haul services. OCTS was founded in 1989 with the goal of providing Alberta with safe and reliable container transportation services. Decades later OCTS has expanded this commitment to the industry. Authorized to operate from both Canadian National and Canadian Pacific terminals in both Calgary and Edmonton, OCTS is proud to be the “first & last mile” for some of the world’s most prominent industries, steamship lines and freight companies.
OCTS is headquartered on 50 acres of rail-served property in Edmonton AB. Additionally, OCTS operates out of additional locations in Calgary, AB, including a 160-acre development site neighbouring the CN Logistics Park. A&L Intermodal was acquired by OCTS in 2023.
Overland Group is led by Derek Senft (Managing Partner & Chairman), and backed by Tricor Pacific Capital.
